APSA of Illinois Ralph Silverman Memorial Scholarship

The Automotive Parts and Service Association of Illinois (APSA of IL) Ralph Silverman Memorial Scholarship was established to help ensure the future success of the automotive aftermarket industry. Mr. Silverman, the first president of the Association, was a strong advocate of promoting quality and high standards in the industry through education. This scholarship is intended to help fund the education of the most qualified students from Illinois that are seeking to establish a successful career in the automotive aftermarket. The scholarship award is to be applied toward tuition, fees, books, or housing costs incurred through a college or university.

The Ralph Silverman Memorial Foundation created the APSA of Illinois Ralph Silverman Memorial Scholarship Endowment through the Southern Illinois University Foundation. This endowment is managed by the SIU Foundation and scholarships will be provided to students interested in pursuing a career in the automotive aftermarket. The SIU Foundation’s average investment return will ensure that the RSMF endowment will continue to grow and provide opportunities for the infinite future.
